5,0 von 5 Sternen A short one but the reviewer have said that is a good book to have
I read a review about this books in a cooking magazine. A short one but the reviewer have said that is a good book to have. I give it a try and blind buy it. Very good instructions, the first pages of the books have plenty informations, recipes with so great taste that you don't think you were missing something by eating so well. A recipe for banana bread with millet taste so good that I ask myself why I made simple banana bread for decades. I was missing something. I really like the fact that the book give a lot of substitution wishing grains, the best cooking method, I am a cookbook junkie and haven't seen a grains book so well written. I buy a lot of books about grains but seriously, the recipes are frequently bland. That book offer bold flavourful food. And for a hardcover book the price is more than decent. Definitively a cookbook that have a place in my kitchen for boosting the fiber and grains in everyday cooking. Great tips too adapt the recipes you already have and want to adapt.

5,0 von 5 Sternen Delicious, innovative and healthy recipes
I LOVE this book! I have tried many of the recipes and they are always really delicious and different. Instructions are easy to follow and the photos are really helpful. It is one of my favorite cookbooks! My husband is celiac, so I appreciate the substitution ideas for the different grains. The information on each grain and how to cook them is also super helpful. Some favorites: quinoa salmon cakes (fantastic!), pork, apricot and leek stir-fry, teff and butternut squash risotto (surprising and absolutely amazing!), black bean burgers, curried sorghum pilaf with coconut and cauliflower (see attached picture), shrimp and asparagus stir-fry with polenta, and the fantastic buckwheat crepes with brie, apples, and prosciutto. If you are tired of the same old, same old recipes, try this book. It is full of creative and delicious dishes. I have recommended it to several friends!

5,0 von 5 Sternen This one's a beauty!
This cookbook is beautiful as far as the layout, the font, the quality of the pictures, and even the page paper selection. The recipes look glorious; however, I don't know where to start. I have many of the grains and can easily substitute with barley. That's one grain readily available in the ethnic section. I make it several times a week. In my case, I don't eat meat nor analogs. But I will figure out something. I bought it for ideas on how to use up the grains that I purchased. Another book, by a similar title, didn't appeal to me, so I donated it. I will update after I actually cook something which won't be until the cooler weather. It might be wise to preview a new book at the library before purchasing to be on the safe side. That's what I did.

4,0 von 5 Sternen Lovely recipes
This book has wonderful recipes and I really like that the author provides alternatives/substitutions for some of the dishes. I bought this so I could make more healthful lunches to take to work, and I've enjoyed each recipe I've tried. The dishes are presented in lovely photographs and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Some of the recipes include "fancy" ingredients that you likely won't have if you're not a super-foodie, but as I mentioned, she does provide some alternatives. I'm happy with this purchase.
